ISACA Credentials Spotlighted at ENISA WebinarLast week, ISACA credentials were featured in an ENISA webinar, “Using the European Cybersecurity Skills Framework to Sustain Cybersecurity Workforce,” which introduced ENISA’s new framework. We are excited ENISA chose to align ISACA’s certifications with the framework. Congratulations to ISACA member Vladlena Benson, who was selected to participate in this initiative and was a featured presenter in the webinar. This alignment is an excellent example of ISACA’s coordinated strategy execution in Europe.

EU Commission Proposes Cyber Security Rules for EU Bodies
The European Commission has proposed that EU countries put a framework in place to manage cybersecurity risks at EU institutions. This proposal is part of a larger package of draft rules that would require all EU institutions to identify cybersecurity risks, create improvement plans for their respective cybersecurity postures, conduct assessments, and share information about incidents. The Commission also proposed that an information security regulation be drafted to define a set of minimum standards and rules for all EU institutions.

Cyber Resilience Act Consultation
The European Commission presented its call for evidence for an impact assessment and public consultation on the Cyber Resilience Act. The call for evidence notes the cascading effects of a cybersecurity incident in a connected environment. ISACA Global is working with ISACA’s EU Advocacy Task Force on a response, which presents an opportunity to reference how ISACA’s training and certifications address the shortage of cybersecurity professionals.
