MAFF has many exciting things coming up: we will relaunch the project MAFF i Skåne and offer screenings free of charge to schools and public libraries all over Skåne. During our Arabian Nights programme we will screen hand-picked films from the last editions of MAFF to the Malmö audience, starting off with Palestinian drama 200 Meters by Ameen Nayfeh on the 28th of August. Arab Women Film Days and MAFF Turné are returning and will during the month of October set off on a nation-wide journey from north to south, with stops in Malmö, Helsingborg, Luleå, Stockholm and Gothenburg. More info coming up soon - keep an eye on our social media platforms!
After postponing the workshop for almost two years due to the pandemic, the Critics Without Borders workshop is finally taking place this autumn, in conjunction with the Arab Women Film Days (October 1-4), connecting film critics from the Middle East and the Nordic countries for the exchange of knowledge and ideas. During the autumn, many of the major Arab film festivals will also take place. MAFF will participate, to forge new collaborations and keep track of the latest releases in Arab cinema.
See you soon at the cinema!
